Six upstanding gentlemen, three battered up cars, one month & 10,000 miles of pot-holes…

London to Mongolia, in 30 Days!

On the 27th June 2008 Team ‘The Mongol Way Round’ will attempt to travel where few have gone before. Far from the well walked paths of a Costa Del Sol package holidays the group will head east, taking in Iran, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Russia before arriving at the destination: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

The reason for enduring 10 hours a day behind the wheel in 50 degree heat? Not to mention the stress of corrupt border control guards, dodgy motors and AJ and Andy's incessant House music? Well, besides a chance to visit some of the most remote places on earth… raising lots of money for three very good causes!

Thanks to all your the extremely generous donations we've already raised over £4500 for Save the Children Mongolia and over £500 for the British Heart Foundation although we are hoping to at least double these by the time we leave. All money donated goes 100% to the two charities with the the proceeds from the sale of the three cars also going to a third charity, CDPF (Childrens' Development and Protection Fund) when they are sold at aution in Mongolia.

If you are able to donate anything to these worthy causes please follow this link to our sponsorship page. Any contribution will help, even if only 20p a mile :)
